The Norton Street Collections
WHAT WAS NORTON STREET?
Norton Street is the setting for the Higher Consciousness invocational play which triggers Self-Remembering and Self-Invocaton -- "Norton Street", by E.J. Gold. The coins can be used to power the invocation and to create a connection to Norton Street from wherever you are at the moment. A video of Norton Street is available -- click here to order or watch it on YouTube.
FROM WHERE DID THE NORTON STREET COINS COME?
Back in 1967, Jan and I, along with Ron and Lynn Matthies, took over a booth at the Psychedelic Supermarket and at the same time moved into a second-floor apartment on Norton Street.
We kept two metal change boxes filled with change in the top tray and rolls of backup coins, mostly pennies and nickels, in the top and bottom drawers of the bureau in our room-sized walk-in closet. The rolls were seldom used, because our customers often had the exact change. Pennies were important then, because sales tax almost always came out in penny numbers.
The change boxes showed up about a week ago in the bottom of a box that has been in storage since 1971. The rolls of coins were added every year that we had the shops, and they were typically mint rolls, meaning the same year coin was in each roll. Upon inspection, I found a roll each of 1967, 68, 69, 70 and 71 -- the years we were at Norton Street, all of which are Bright Uncirculated, absolutely perfect.
I was advised by Pat that the unopened rolls were worth far more than opened rolls, but I wanted these coins to go out to our Work Circle, so I opened them and placed the coins in air-tight capsules. I'll be shipping out the 5-ups with all five years placed in them in sequence as soon as the velvet boxes arrive here, which should take 10 days or less by UPS ground.
There are lesser grade coins of the same dates -- 67,68,69,70 & 71 -- in the change boxes, as well as higher and lower grade coins of other dates, from 1920 wheaties up to 1971 Lincoln Memorial cents. Many 1940s and 50s pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters are in there, and they were all at Norton Street.
My reasoning for the high-grade 5-ups is that they are super, absolutely super, and the dates of the coins correspond to the dates of our occupation of Norton Street; however, some folks have expressed a preference for the coins actually in usage by us at that time, so I'm also making individual coins and sets of coins that are not the occupation dates available to our Work Circle.
These coin sets are intended for invocational use! They are not mere collectibles, and frankly, I can think of thousands of better collectible coins if that's what you have in mind.
They can be placed on your Super-Beacon and will generate a powerful psychic connection to Norton Street just used in that way; however, they can also be used in conjunction with inductions to make the connection even more powerful, and can be placed onstage when performing the Norton Street play or when viewing Norton Street videos.
First Come, First Served! When the BU RED Norton Street coins run out, we're into the Red-Browns, then the Browns, then coins of different unrelated dates (but which were actually handled by us at the time) and then, when those run out, nothing. End of line.
Don't be disappointed. Get your Norton Street coin collection now, before it's too late!
