Presenting the spiritual messages of E.J. Gold — the Waking State Guru — to bring higher consciousness to the planet, one eternal moment at a time.

DVD Release Party

Mill Street Gallery, Nov 6, 2004

This was a real magical event at the Gallery. Ian Dogole and Bill Douglass of the Hemispheres played music surrounded by Jazz Art by EJ Gold to celebrate the release of their DVD "Ian Dogole & Hemispheres in Concert" which also features "visually intoxcicating and highly emotive" backdrops by EJ Gold.

I must say it was really great how the community came together for this event and it is in part because of that support that the event became what it was. And it looked to me like everyone had a good time!!!!

But enough talk, here some pictures

Setting up, on the right Jewel wondering about how to best show some framed photos. (well, I could have said..wondering if we get it together in time...)

People starting to arrive and Mary Ann behind the snack table

Ian Dogole and Bill Douglass meeting EJ Gold

It sounded so good, these two play masterfully.

It was fascinating to learn about the instruments

...then listening again to them play

Great pulsing between playing and some information, which was delivered in a very light and entertaining way.

EJ had just given this huge backdrop painting titled "Hemispheres" to be owned by the group. It was great.

More than once did either Ian or Bill talk about the fusion, the coming together of Jazz music and painting.

During break

Beverly, here with David, was instrumental in making this happen.

Here a snapshot of the television screen.

Back to music. But I did put this picture in to show you the size of the paintings in relation to the space.

Ian, EJ and Bill in front of "Hemispheres" the painting...

You can't quite see the people sitting on the floor from here...

...but here you can.

Ian Dogole honoring Jamie Campana, standing in back, without whom the DVD would not have been possible.

EJ demonstrating how an alien skull can serve as a percussion instrument. (don't worry, it's just a replica..)

Getting the DVD autographed while you have the chance

Percussion and rhythm instruments on different levels. I am finding it's more in how you use them than what you got available to get a great rhythm going.

Impression from the back room.

There were many many other pictures, but I had to choose.

That reminds me of something someone said to me many years ago. "Life is like being in a huge supermarket with one shopping cart you can fill. You can choose anything you want, but you can't get everything"
